Steve Rogers is an experienced engineering and welding professional with over 40 years in the industry, bringing deep technical knowledge and practical insight across a broad range of welding and manufacturing applications.

As Business Development Manager within Weld Australia’s Strategic Partnerships team, Steve works closely with industry stakeholders to strengthen collaboration, support innovation and drive the adoption of advanced welding technologies across Australia’s manufacturing and fabrication sectors.

Steve spent 23 years with BOC, where he held roles as both a Welding Process Specialist and Applications Engineer. During this time, he developed extensive expertise in welding technologies and industrial applications, working across a wide range of sectors and project environments.

His technical experience spans structural and pipe welding, aluminium welding (particularly within shipbuilding), along with advanced areas such as automation, including industrial robotics and collaborative robots, modified waveform welding processes, and additive manufacturing.

With a strong combination of hands-on experience and strategic industry knowledge, Steve plays a key role in supporting Weld Australia’s mission to advance capability, productivity and innovation within the welding and fabrication industry.
