Mick Cameron

CEO, MC Quality Control

With over 25 years of experience in the welding industry, Mick has garnered extensive hands-on expertise as a Boilermaker, Welding Inspector, Welding Supervisor, and Welding Technologist.

Mick’s diverse background spans heavy fabrication and engineering, the repair and enhancement of mining equipment, and the manufacturing of specialised airport ground support equipment. Mick joined the Weld Australia Board of Directors in 2024.

Mick established MC Quality Control in 2015. MC Quality Control is committed to growing and supporting the welding industry long-term and has expanded rapidly in recently years to boast a team of over 30 experts. The company invests significantly in its team, and consistently delivers improvements in quality for its customers, and opportunities for its people. MC Quality Control operates across a diverse range of sectors including manufacturing, engineering, maintenance project management, renewable energy, rail and mining.

Prior to this, Mick was an Account and Field Service Manager at Bradken, responsible for managing a team of tradesmen, maintaining and improving a fleet of trucks and machinery, health and safety and project budgets.
