With nearly 20 years of experience, Bec has established a reputation as a professional who not only excels in her field but also generously shares her knowledge with others. Her extensive experience, coupled with her commitment to continuous learning, makes her an invaluable asset in the welding and manufacturing industry. Bec joined the Weld Australia Board of Directors in 2024.

Currently the Senior Welding Coordinator at MTE, Bec leads the company’s quality assurance department and has implemented various new systems to take the company into the future. Her role is pivotal, as she oversees welding operations with precision, ensuring that industry standards are not just met but exceeded, thereby enhancing production efficiency and quality.

Prior to this, Bec contributed her skills to the Liebherr Group as a Quality Coordinator – Fabrication, and Technoweld as Technical Manager. Her responsibilities included maintaining high-quality standards in fabrication processes, implementing quality control measures, coordinating with various departments to streamline operations, managing complex projects and leading technical teams.

Bec’s career began as an apprentice Boilermaker in 2005 moving into sales in 2012 at Southern Cross Industrial Supplies, where she served as a Sales Representative. Her role involved developing strong client relationships, understanding customer needs, and providing tailored solutions, setting the foundation for her technical and managerial expertise.

A believer in life-long learning, Bec’s professional qualifications are a testament to her dedication and expertise in the field. She is an IIW International Welding Technologist (IWT) and holds several other certifications.
