Dan Hayward

Team Leader Integrity Engineering, Santos Ltd

Dan is currently the Integrity Engineering Manager for the Cooper. On joining Santos, he held the position of Superintendent UpStream Maintenance Planning and Execution for the Cooper during the onset of the oil price crash in 2014. This required him to drive down overhead costs via developing and leading strategic change in supply chain, contract negotiation and management, maintenance and operations.

Dan is passionate about improving Australia’s technical and operational expertise. He has twenty years experience in operations management, engineering, supply chain and procurement, project management and strategy. The majority of this is in the manufacturing and oil and gas sector in Australia with significant International business exposure to Japan, South Korea, US, Thailand, China and Germany.

Dan is a graduate of the Company Directors Course (AICD), and holds an MBA, as well as Bachelor’s degrees in Metallurgical and Mechanical Engineering.
