Welding Engineer

Arya is a professional Materials Engineer (accredited by Engineers Australia) with experience in various sectors in welding engineering, consultation, quality assurance, company certification audits, inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT).

Arya is very familiar with international and Australian welding standards for production, inspection and quality assurance, and is experienced in supervising engineering teams, and working in a fabrication shop, on-site or office environment.

Prior to joining Weld Australia in 2017, Arya was a welding inspector and NDT specialist at STS Consultant Engineering in Iran. In his role, Arya undertook NDT on conventional and high-rise welded and bolted steel structures and buildings. He also carried out welder qualification testing and prepared welding procedure specifications, quality control plans, and ITPs.

He is a Certified Welding Engineer and he holds CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector, as well as certifications for penetrant testing, ultrasonic testing, magnetic testing, and radiographic interpretation.
