STAINLESS STEELS
NOT ALL STAINLESS STEELS ARE CREATED EQUAL
ADELAIDE | 11 FEBRUARY 2025 | UNISA ENTERPRISE HUB
Weld Australia, Materials Australia and The Australasian Corrosion Association welcome you to this upcoming event.
Join us to discuss stainless steels and their role in industry with Kingsley Brown, Principal Materials Engineer at ASC Pty Ltd.
Whether in construction, defence or mining, stainless steel is the material of choice for high performing structures in corrosive environments. There are a multitude of specialist stainless steel grades with varying corrosion resistance, weldability and mechanical performance that can make material selection a challenge.
The talk will explore the suitability and limitations of stainless steel in demanding applications. Based on case studies the presentation will focus on corrosion resistance and welding considerations in the material selection process for the safe and cost-effective design of stainless steel components and fabrications.
