This FREE informative session will be led by Mr. Andrew Barnes, National Marketing Manager at Weldclass. Andrew Barnes is the National Marketing Manager at WELDCLASS, with over 40 years in the Welding & Industrial Gas Industry in Australia. Andrew is a qualified welder, has a Business degree from Deakin University Melbourne and is an experienced manager with demonstrated expertise in welding product development, marketing, sales management, retailing, business planning, and operations. He was also the first Australian to win a medal in the Electric Welding category at WorldSkills, in 1988. Andrew was the Australian Chief Judge for Welding with WorldSkills Australia in the mid to late 1990’s and held the prestigious position of International Chief Judge Welding at 2 of the WorldSkill Competitions held in Lyon – France and St Gallan – Switzerland. Andrew has previously worked for major industry companies such as; CIGWELD-ESAB, AIR LIQUIDE, SUPAGAS and founded his own company Rocket Industrial Supplies, which he sold and is now called ROCKET TOOLS, which is still running and based in NSW. “Barnesy” as most people know him as, has had extensive visits to various Welding, Fabrication and Engineering organisations around, Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific Islands, Indonesia, Singapore, the USA and Canada. Andrew has been a Weld Australia/WTIA Member since 1989.
