Changes to Weld Fume Exposure Limits

Mathew Lee (Senior Welding Technologist, Weld Australia) will cover the latest changes to welding fume exposure limits. On 18 January, Safe Work Australia announced that Work Health and Safety Ministers have agreed to an immediate reduction in the workplace exposure standard for welding fumes, from an 8-hour time weighted average (TWA) of 5 mg/m3 to 1 mg/m3. ASME B31.3 Process Piping Code Course

Facilitated by US expert, Jim E. Meyer, this course provides an introduction to the ASME B31.3 Process Piping Code. It covers the requirements of B31.3 for design, analysis, materials, fabrication, testing and inspection of process piping systems. ASME Section IX Three Day Course

11 to 13 February 2025  |  Brisbane

The ASME code is the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) standard that regulates the design, development and construction of boilers and pressure vessels. ASME Section IX specifies the requirements for the qualification of welders and the welding procedure specifications. The course will be facilitated by Walter J. Sperko. Weld Australia is currently taking Expressions of Interest in this course.
