Certification of Inspection Personnel (AICIP)

Home 5 Qualification & Certification 5 Certification of Inspection Personnel (AICIP)

AICIP certification offers significant benefits for professionals involved in the inspection of boilers, pressure vessels, and pressure piping. Recognised nationally, it enhances career opportunities by validating an inspector’s knowledge, skills, and competency against rigorous industry standards.

Certification not only demonstrates a commitment to safety and quality but also provides assurance to employers and clients that inspections are conducted with the highest level of integrity and technical expertise. For individuals, it can open pathways to senior roles and greater responsibility, while organisations benefit from the assurance of having certified, competent inspectors overseeing critical plant and equipment.

In mid-2025, Weld Australia took over both the In-Service Inspector (ISI) and Senior In-Service Inspector (SISI) certifications and examinations previously performed by AICIP. Exam registration is now available online via WeldQ. Instructions on renewal applications will be provided in the coming weeks. For enquiries, email aicip@weldaustralia.com.au or call 1800 189 900.
