About this course
An AS1796 Welding certificate is one of the accepted welder certifications. It is used in both structural and pressure equipment Standards. It is by far the most well known and requested welder certification nationally.
The course is delivered online over 15 sessions. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions of our experienced welding technology trainers.
The training will cover topics 1-18 outlined below.
Participants will have access to our online learning platform where they will find the course notes, and a quiz after each session. There will be a final online assessment, and a certificate of completion issued providing evidence of completion of the theoretical requirements. Participants are then required to complete the practical training and examination at a TAFE or a similar training organisation. Weld Australia does not conduct the practical training.

AS1796 outlines the prerequisites for each individual Certificate 1 through to 9.
