About Volkan Yakut

Volkan is a Mechanical Engineer with over 20 years of international experience spanning heavy engineering, defence, manufacturing, power generation, infrastructure, shipbuilding, pressure equipment, oil & gas, piping and technical auditing across Australasia, Europe, and Asia. He holds a Master of Engineering in Manufacturing Engineering and is recognized as a Chartered Professional Engineer.

Throughout his career, Volkan has held senior leadership roles including, HSEQ Manager, Operations Manager, Lead Auditor, Fabrication Manager, and Principle/Lead Engineer at major organizations. As an expert in Integrated Management Systems (IMS), he specializes in designing, implementing, and auditing HSEQ frameworks across complex industrial environments and high-risk capital projects. He has successfully audited numerous organisations, fabrication facilities and site installation activities to international standards including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001, ISO 17020/25, ISO 3834, AS/NZS 5131, AS/NZS 1554, ISO 9712, and DIN 2303.

Volkan possesses extensive technical expertise in specialized fabrication processes, including welding, protective coating, corrosion control, casting, forging, nanotechnologies, ballistic materials, bolting, asset management, maintenance and precision measurement & calibration technics. Combining advanced NDT certifications with coating inspection credentials and Lean methodologies, he actively contributes to academia, accreditation authorities, and industry as a Part-Time University Lecturer, IIW Lecturer & Authorized Examiner, NDT Certification Lecturer, Accreditation Technical Expert, and AMPP Committee Member.
