Welding Engineer

Gokhan is a dynamic and results-driven professional with a wealth of experience leading both national and international welding, fabrication and engineering projects.

With over 10 years experience, Gokhan is a seasoned expert in areas such as: welding engineering and coordination; steel and metal manufacturing; fabrication; mechanical equipment, tank and piping erection; quality management; and more.

Prior to joining Weld Australia in 2023, Gokhan was a Welding Engineer at Shotton Group, where he managed complex projects involving railway vehicles, structural steel, and more. He ensured strict adherence to quality and deadline specifications, overseeing welding staff and maintaining ISO 14731 compliance.

As a Production and Quality Engineer at Hume Steel Engineering, Gokhan supervised quality-related tasks and aided in preparing for ISO 9001 and ISO 3834 accreditation. He was responsible for project quality system management documentation, materials research, and cost control. In his role as a Project Manager at SevenHill Engineering and Construction, Gokhan effectively communicated with stakeholders and contributed to project design, engineering, and installation. He played a vital role in coordinating project activities and drafting necessary documents.

Gokhan’s early career in Turkey and Iraq saw him lead various fabrication and installation projects for steel and iron plants, as well as coordinate production, quality control, and managing structural steel works. He conducted non-destructive testing and maintained meticulous inspection records.
